About

Nora E. Roberto

Nora began her pursuit of the arts as a young girl. From an early age, she yearned to produce Landscapes that would allow a person viewing each piece to be inspired and to feel as if they were there. Still life paintings that are well done often allow the viewer to see the painting as if they were in the same room or location were the painting was created pleasing to the eye.

Nora obtained an Associate Degree in Fine Arts from Empire State College, a school accredited by Westchester Community College. She is an active member of the Putnam Arts Council, Dutchess Arts Council, and Arts on the Lake, and paints with the Hudson Valley Plein Air Painters.

Nora’s work has been exhibited in galleries in the states of New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts, at such places as the Front Street Gallery in Patterson, NY, Putnam Arts Council Mahopac NY, Arts on the Lake Carmel NY, Proctor & Gamble in Bethel, CT, and JH Shelburne Fine Arts and Portrait Framing Gallery in Shelburne Falls, MA, among others.

Locally, her work has been shown at libraries in Mahopac, Katonah, Kent and Brewster, and at Cugini’s Restaurant, as well as in private exhibits and shows in both New York and Connecticut. She regularly displays her work to support non-profit organizations; examples include Friends of the Great Swamp (FrOGS) NY, the Merwinsville Hotel Restoration in CT, The Maplebrook School NY, and the New Canaan Teen Center CT.

What inspires Nora to paint is subjects in nature as they present themselves through the times and seasons. Her passion is color blending, and she likes to focus on balance and harmony as she works.  Her landscapes have received acclaim for their color and flow.
